Think Tanks, From Left and Right, Criticize Egypt for ‘Suppressing the Muslim Brotherhood…’

-

An observer in Washington noted that “it is ironic to realize that the main hub of support and outreach for the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood’s delegations in Washington before and after the election of Morsi, was the Carnegie foundation, which had a special program funded to parade the Ikhwan delegations in the city and introduce them to policy makers and media.”

The observer added “the Petrodollars are in high action and the results are easily connectable -by statements and by arguments – to the Muslim Brotherhood agenda. In fact this letter and the Ikhwan talking points, have the same arguments: That the popular revolution by 30 million people is illegitimate, that the Government that followed is oppressive and that the Muslim Brotherhood – even without an internal democratic reform- should be a legitimate part of the Government.”
