The new Egyptian President, who was elected by almost 24 millions after a popular referendum on a new constitution, different from the one under the Muslim Brotherhood regime, is projected to lead Egypt towards an alternative path than Mohammed Morsi. An observer in Washington said: “Now we have a President in Egypt who has vast popular support, believe in pluralism and is familiar with US political culture. President Sisi will become a regional leader, backed by all moderates, to lead the fight against al Qaeda and its Jihadi allies. He and his Arab and Middle Eastern allies will be coming together to push back against the Terrorists and the extremists while the Obama Administration is retreating from the region.” The observer said “we have two types of news coming from the region. The type of news such as Taliban are headquartered in Qatar and the type of news that President Sisi is transforming Egypt into headquarters against Terror.”
