Copts, We Thank You

-

We thank you, Pope Tawadros II for following in the footsteps of Mar Morqus who was responsible for spreading Christianity in Egypt since 1900. You have chosen the path paved by him with intimacy and unity bringing the believers of the two religions closer to Allah the Almighty.

Therefore, along with you we pray to Allah to make every Egyptian a shelter to protect their homeland against acts of terrorism and violence. We pray with you to Allah to shower the nation of Egypt with peace and tranquility.

The stand adopted by the Pope is a true image of a true Egyptian because he has spoiled the plans of those who had conspired against the nation by attacking the houses of God regardless of their religious identity. This is an attack against humanity but we rejoice in those who put at the top of their priorities unity of the people.

Pious are the people who have been carrying the messages of peace and sincere patriotism over the ages. Therefore they are rightfully called the guardians of their homeland. You understood the intention of the terrorist Brotherhood members when they torched the churches and you sacrificed all this for the sake of the unity of the homeland.

You refused to be provoked. You shunned revenge and showed no signs of weakness because you are strong — mind and body. You stood by your homeland realizing the need of the hour was wisdom and this is manifested in your honest stand.

You did not fall a prey to the ‘game of the nations’ — the nations which are the champions of debauchery, murder and devastation. They wanted to push Egypt into a whirlwind of chaos by calling for ‘outside’ help in the name of protecting the Coptic Christians and the minorities. You showed them the way out because you believe in belonging to the homeland — the belonging that does not require outside interference. You did this because you were fully aware of their plots and goals at the expense of the Egyptian blood.

With your historical stand, you have proved to the entire world that the Brotherhood does not seek unity or stability of Egypt but devastation. Those ‘few’ who still support this bloody group — the group whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent Egyptians — has failed to realize that it has a long history of assassinations, conspiracy and betrayal. Unfortunately they have yet to realize this fact.

In spite of this fact, some nations in the West and the Arab world have closed an eye to the crimes, murders and destruction caused by the Brotherhood whose members are a gang of liars.

Over the past few months some Western nations have thrown their support behind Morshid (the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood) who is only interested in terrorism and accuses people of atheism.
Has France protected the principles of its revolution — freedom, justice and equality? Did Britain support democracy when it threw its weight behind those who came out from the caves of the ‘middle centuries’? Did the United States of America, whose unstable stances keep fluctuating like the level of mercury, fail to realize that millions of Egyptians had refused to bow to the dark terrorist side of the Brotherhood group which was trying to strengthen its roots in Egypt? What was the lone Qatar trying to do in Egypt — support stability and solidarity by throwing its weight behind this group?

If we take a close look at the stance of Recep Tayyip Erdogan (the prime minister of Turkey), a product of Brotherhood, we loathe those who claim Turkey supports human rights but turn a blind eye to massacres committed by Erdogan against the opposition demonstrators in Ankara and Istanbul.
Today, these same people condemn the steps taken by the legal authorities of a country — the authorities which want to ensure security and enforce the laws on the sit-in of thugs and terrorists who have not only committed crimes but destroyed Egypt.

The stands adopted by these countries show that they diligently seek to hand over the power to the terrorist groups in Egypt and the Arab world and help the Zionist entity to carry out its plan — dismantle the Arab world into mini states controlled by sectarian and doctrinal camps.
