They tried to escape but were caught by the militias. As he was lying on the ground and being beaten by the militias, the young woman came to his rescue but she was also beaten, punched in the face and mollested.
He added that five members of the Muslim Brotherhood beat him and walked him and Ola to the presidential palace which has become a “prison for the demonstrators”
The Islamist militias assaulted him with iron sticks and he was injured in his head and chest.
Sabri says that while they were detained in the palace that was transformed into a “prison” they were tied with ropes. After being tortured and beaten, Ola was released.
The torture and the beating were carried out in full view of the security forces which had formed a security cordon all around.
During his interview Ramy pointed out that, along with many other detainees, they remained tied for 16 hours while the militias were pressuring them to admit having “committed crimes”
For Sabri, the main culprits are the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood who have sponsored such actions against the protesters and he accuses them of being involved in torturing the protesters.
The young pharmacist reckons that when the militias realized that he was a Christian they isolated him from the other detained protesters, assaulted him and tried to force him admit that Hamdeen Sabahi [a leading opposition figure] incited him to demonstrate, but Sabri resisted and refused to make any false confession
After three public prosecutors came to see them, they were transferred to the local police station.
To his amazement, Sabri heard President Morsi saying on Thursday that the “defendants admitted committing crimes during the demonstrations” while in reality the investigations only started on Friday. He added that Egypt’s public prosecutor pressured the prosecutor not to release the defendants.
Ramy has requested from Forensic to prepare a medical report on the injuries he sustained.

Engineer Mina Phillip, said that the Muslim Brotherhood attacked the demonstrators, adding that they tortured and assaulted the protesters violently.
Mina said that the Islamists accused them of being “spies” and of “treason.” They accused them of “killing” their opponents.
Mina says “We are not criminals. The demonstrations were peaceful. The Muslim Brotherhood attacked not only the demonstrators but also passers-by. I have nothing to say to the president.”
The attacks were not targeting the Christians specifically, and even children have been tortured.
Phillip emphasized that the demonstrations were peaceful and included different factions of the Egyptian society.
The attackers later handed them to the security forces, adding that such a step saved them from death. He added that the police kept them in rooms that were not prepared for receiving them, but provided them with blankets.
He insisted that the prosecutors faced pressures not to release them, adding that they investigated them as if “we were criminals” however their release was according to the law as they were injured.
Mina said that he suffers bruises in his face and back in addition to head wounds.
He reckoned he was lucky especially when many young people died.
Phillip lamented the current position, describing it as “a huge loss”
