Tagamu’ Party Strongly Condemns ‘America’s Push for a Win by Morsi’

-

ha22 Tagamu’ Party Strongly Condemns ‘America’s Push for a Win by Morsi’The left-leaning Tagamu’ Party condemned what it described as “the American blatant interference in the internal affairs of Egypt,” pointing to “the extremely silly American statements declaring that the U.S. administration and the Pentagon reject the ruling of the Supreme Constitutional Court, as if anyone outside of America or even inside America itself could attack a similar (American) court ruling.”

The party criticized in a statement “the news being reiterated about American pressures to hasten a declaration of Dr. Mohamed Morsy as the winner, regardless of the appeals that have proven flagrant fraud in his favor.”

It warned the Americans against “attempts aimed at undermining the authority of the Egyptian state and a bias towards the Brotherhood that could ignite a bitter turf war that would destroy Egypt.”

The Tagamu’ warned the “Freedom and Justice” party, belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood, not to accept, or cooperate with, such an American intervention, reminding it that “the Egyptian people stands against intervention in the country’s affairs and did not hesitate to counter a great leader like Nahas Pasha for accepting to govern on February 4, 1942 thanks to the pressures of the British colonialists.”

The party finally called upon everyone to stand against the “blatant U.S. intervention in the internal matter of our country,” saying that “Egypt is a lot more important and precious than any post.”
