In a meeting with President Sisi and National Security Advisor Fayza Aboul Naga, the American delegation stressed Egypt’s role in achieving stability in the Middle East and reaffirmed U.S. support for Egypt’s political and economic security.
President Sisi expressed concerns over threats to Egypt’s national security, most notably terrorism in the Sinai Peninsula, and also assured the delegation that "Egypt respects human rights to the fullest extent,” citing reforms in police conduct and the upcoming parliamentary elections.
