President Should Intervene to Release Arrested Copts in Libya, Says Rights Leader

Hassan told MCN, “The position of the Egyptian government is not new, as it does not care of what happens to the Egyptians in different occasions whether inside or outside Egypt.”

He added that the Muslim Brotherhood is excluded from such carelessness, as the president intervened to release its members from an Emirates prisons, while they deal with the rest of Egyptians as second-class citizens.

He expected that the rights organizations would interfere to appeal the Libyan authorities to release the arrested Copts, expressing his hope that Libya would respond to these demands. He stressed the need for the interference of the Egyptian authorities this problem.
