In its recently issued statement, the F&J Party declares: “All you free people of the world, all you honorable ones of the world—move fast for [the sake of] the freedom-lovers in Egypt, its revolutionaries and heroes. Stand with principles and urge your governments to take a clear stand against this bloody overthrow.”
The statement further called on all human rights and other organizations—specifically naming an urging the United Nations—to intervene in Egypt on behalf of “democracy.”
Such actions indicate that the Brotherhood, knowing its vast unpopularity among average Egyptians, is throwing off its mask and in desperation doing the one thing that always exposes treason: calling on foreigners to fight against one’s own countrymen.
