Erian insisted however that there is no room for accurate and scientific polls in Egypt and argued that most polls only reflect the perspectives of their conductors.
Meanwhile, Safwat Hegazi, member of the Salafi Legitimate Front for Rights and Reformation, accused the ruling military of attempting to hijack the revolution and warned that power must be handed over to a civilian administration by June 30. He threatened that otherwise the ruling military’s fate is bound to resemble that of Hosni Mubarak who after his ouster was detained at a hospital and put on trial.
Hegazi insisted that the decision to support Mursi was made upon logical reasoning as he is the most qualified to lead the nation through enforcing God’s law. He added that he expects for the nation to rise in all its fields if Mursi assumed power. ”He is the most capable to return Islamic caliphate and Arab states with Jerusalem as capital”, Hegazi said.
