In an interview on Al-Haya Egyptian TV, Yacoub said Copts in Egypt do not live in fear, adding that it is unacceptable to see any Egyptian citizen lives in fear whatever the reason, and stressed that the new constitution will guarantee freedom and security for all citizens.
“Egypt now needs a big and difficult ‘surgery’ to improve conditions of the people,” said Yacoub, who added that they hope to do so in the constitution.
Yacoub noted that his participation in drafting the constitution is more difficult than doing a major surgery, explaining that he is studying all the world’s constitutions to quote from them.
