Egypt Court Bans NGOs from ‘Interference’ in State Activity

-

Youm7 reported that this rule came as an NGO called The Revolution Youth Coalition sent a city official in Edco, Beheira governorate, a letter demanding he withdraw a building permit.

The court said that NGOs have no right to interfere in the state’s administrative decisions.

Judge Mohamed Khafagy said in his ruling Thursday, that every official in the state should be practicing its work only within the law, without allowing any other party or entity to interfere in their decisions.

In February and March about 281 NGOs were dissolved by the Ministry of Solidarity following accusations of affiliation with the Muslim Brotherhood.
