Copt Using Home as Church Arrested After Muslim Complaints

The general Osama Metwali the head of Al Minya security office received notification from Al Adowa police station stating that a person with the initials “B.H.,” 55 years old, a worker in the Adowa area, is being accused of converting his house into a church and performing religious rituals without permit.

 

The security office formed an investigation team to follow up and they found that the worker had converted his house into church on 2011(when the first revolution started in Egypt). Accordingly, local Muslims made complaint, and police released him after he signed a contract saying he would not do it again. But after a while, Muslims in the village were shocked to see the Christian worker do that again—and openly, so police arrested him under the case number 1095 -2014 and he was put in jail temporary for 4 days waiting to start the investigation again.
